Because I'm explaining how the system is set to work. The system is also set to be solvent, which it isn't. The thread is about no-risk investments, which there are none. Even social security has risks. If an individual wishes to mitigate those risks, then they do so with other investments. Some are for income, and some are defensive for keeping consumption controlled, such as buying your own home and having it paid for after 30 years.
