I entered the game with no thought of actually winning. I watch the stock market daily, and pay close attention to the economy. In September inflation was high and stocks were experiencing a bear market. I had been watching Nvidia for several years, both on its way up, and subsequently falling back down. When it hit 121, I saw it as a buying opportunity in my own account.
When I entered the contest, I chose stocks that I owned. I know some people pick stocks that are small caps and look for high growth. That makes the game more interesting. But I chose stocks that I regularly follow.
It’s been a fun game, let’s see how next year plays out. Yesterday I bought 200 additional shares of Nvidia, so it’s now my largest holding. I will be watching this stock closely next year.
