Thought I'd share a tip about this company, Heron Therapeutics, ticker HRTX. They have a drug named ZYNRELEF that was already in use as a non-opioid post operative pain medication for certain types of operations. Today at a little past 8 PM Eastern they announced the FDA approved the medicine for other types of operations, nearly doubling the number of patients that will potentially use the drug from 7 million to 13 million.
Early in the day today the share price increased I think into the 2.40s before weak hands sold in the afternoon, and the price dropped back down to 2.17 in after hours trading. I bought at 2.10 in one account and 2.09 in another. Shorts should be looking to cover, guessing they will in the morning. Hopefully it doesn't just spike and fall back down before 7 AM.
Regardless of whether one trades this as a day trade or holds on long term this has good potential for a nice profit.
