You're going to have to discern between "news" and hearsay/opinions/bias. There are no citation in the so called "article". Let's be a little more responsible about spreading ideas/news, yeah?

...Or we could use a little discretion when people post tongue-in-cheek articles.

As for me, I'm locked and loaded.

The blog posts articles on mostly foreign news items that are overlooked by the American media. There's nothing sensational in there (it's a short article, and pretty obvious that it doesn't even hint at a Chinese invasion). So it seemed perfectly reasonable that Xi would have visited the US and found Iowa charming.

After doing some further research, it seems that this visit actually occurred in 1985.
China's Crown Princeling | The Heritage Foundation

And yes, I am aware of the political bias of this organization. However, it doesn't seem like there's anything inflammatory about the basic facts of Xi making state visit in 1985.

I just thought it was funny, the idea of the Chinese invading (or perhaps buying) Iowa. You may now return to your dour lives.

On this topic, I was wondering if anyone ran into this:

China Wants To Construct A 50 Square Mile Self-Sustaining City South Of Boise, Idaho

Has anyone ever visited or passed by one of these places?
