the quran has many reference to scientific facts .
and that is one of the types of verses that help those who have doubt to beleive that the quran is from Allah
and here is one of the fact .

And surely there hath come unto them news whereof the purport should deter,

Effective wisdom; but warnings avail not.

So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) on the day when the Summoner summoneth unto a painful thing.

With downcast eyes, they come forth from the graves as they were locusts spread abroad,

Hastening toward the summoner; the disbelievers say: This is a hard day. The Noble Quran.

The Miracle of Locust Larvae staying underground for 17 years compared to Resurrection - Referenced in the Holy Quran and Confirmed by Science! The resurrected are likened to locusts

There is a similarity between the rebirth of locusts and man’s resurrection.

-After a long time
-Under the ground
-Altogether
-Densely crowded
-They rise to the surface of the earth

Their long underground existence and sudden emergence in vast numbers all at the same time may resemble the resurrection of human beings on the Day of Judgement. (Allah knows best.)

Of course, 17-year locusts have nothing to do with resurrection mainly because they're not dead while they're underground. But since that doesn't fit in with the agenda finalmessage is Moderator cut: edit at us (once again), I imagine we're supposed to overlook that pesky little fact.

Not to mention that the life-cycle of locust's was well known long before Muhammad was even born.

Well the quran couldn't be more wrong...Locusts do not stay underground at all except when they are eggs.

The locust eggs generally hatch about two weeks after they were laid. These baby locusts are referred to as "hoppers" or "nymphs." Over the next month to two months after hatching, the nymph locusts go through five molting stages called "instars." After the fifth instar, the locust's wings are fully developed.

"In the United States, the two most common species of cicada are the periodical cicada and the dogday cicada. The periodical cicada, also called the 17-year locust, is found throughout most of the eastern half of the United States. It is blackish brown with orange-tipped wings and red legs. The periodical cicada emerges from the ground in a given locality only once every 13 or 17 years. The dogday cicada, or dogday harvestfly, is found in the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada. It is black with green markings. It has a two-year cycle. Each synchronized population of cicadas is called a brood. In some localities, there are several broods of cicadas; although each brood maintains a 2-, 13-, or 17-year cycle, the insects may emerge in years other than those in which similar broods emerge because of the starting year of their cycles." Think maybe you better go back and check your facts, cicadas and locusts are two different species.

Make up your mind. You posted an image of locusts on the rampage.....A cicada is NOT a locust. A locust is a close relative of grasshoppers....As in the image you posted...Cicadas do not overpopulate and form a plague to eat everything in sight.

this is correct 100%
With downcast eyes, they come forth from the graves as they were locusts spread abroad,

..... they deposit their eggs in sandy soils like seeds and, after the larvae have remained underground for a long period of time, they all emerge together. After digging a 10-15 cm-long tunnel in the ground, a female locust lays 95-158 eggs at once. Females can lay eggs at least three times in their lifetime. When the larvae have matured after 10-65 days, depending on the air temperature, they emerge in a large group. Up to 1,000 egg pods have been found in one square metre. Locust swarms are large enough to cover several hundred square kilometres, with the number of adult locusts per square kilometre varying from between 40 to 80 million.158 Their long underground existence and sudden emergence in vast numbers all at the same time may resemble the resurrection of human beings on the Day of Judgement. Quite the attempt at back peddling, but still wrong. Locust eggs do not spend a long period of time buried in the ground, and they do not all emerge at once...Your qur'an is wrong again.

finalmessage is frantically clutching at straws to make his case. However, it's been thoroughly unmade.
