In my opinion, Islam is more about justice.

There are two kinds of basic sins in Islam.

Ones, that are between the person and God. And no third party is involved. Those sins have a greater probability to be forgiven if one repents and makes up for it. And have good hopes.

Then there are sins and evil acts of various degree where another person/animal/environment is involved. God may forgive those and he may not. However, in all fairness, it's about making wise choices because we are going to be responsible for our choices.

Whether God puts all humanity in hell or in heaven, and whether it's for a short term or whether it's eternal, is all his choice and he is not answerable to anyone. But this is not our concern.

Our job is to try to live a morally cautious and peaceful life under the guideline provided by God and hope for the best in the hereafter.

In the Islamic theology, we should have a faith that doing good will get us good, and doing bad may have consequences. This is simple basic logic.

There is no free ticket. We have been given a certain time limit, and resources with logic and intelligence AND ability to choose, and we should try to put it to a good use, otherwise, there is no point of life.
Thank you.

people who are not believers will go to Hell for ever even if they are good
and people who are believers in some true messengers of Allah and do not believe in one true Messenger of Allah
will go to Hell

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said
By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad,
he who amongst the community of jews or Christians hears about me,
but does not affirm his belief in that with which I have been sent
and dies in this state (of disbelief), he shall be but one of the denizens of Hell-Fire.

Allah will reward them in this phase of life

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said
When a disbeliever does a good deed, he is rewarded for it in this world.
As to the believer, Allah, the Almighty, saves his good deeds to reward him in the Hereafter
and provides him with sustenance in this life as a reward for his obedience.

Another narration reads:
Allah does not deal unjustly with a believer regarding a single good deed.
He is given blessings for it in this world and will be rewarded for it in the Hereafter.
As to the disbeliever, he is given sustenance as a reward for his good deeds in this world,
so when he comes to the Hereafter, there are no more good deeds for him for which he can be rewarded.
