Downtown West, Coming Soon | West Jackson
A great new development in West Jackson! Looks like this is completely privately funded and construction should begin early next year. Personally, I'm not sure if the Jackson market can handle $1,000 and more a month rent, but I'm sue the developers have done market research to decide on those prices.

Not sure about the rent, but as long as they don't fill it with Section 8, it should be fine.

I guess I just don't yet understand the mind of a true Mississippian.
People in other cities actually seek out housing that is close to either work or fun, so they don't have to get in the car for every single thing. Do true Mississippians enjoy driving to and from work, and then driving to and from bars and clubs, picking up DUIs along the way?

1) people in other cities. Please be more specific. Cities with higher or lower crime rates than Jackson? Cities with more or less humidity? Hmm?

It's not the walking five minutes for a drink part that bothers me. It's the walking five minutes in west Jackson part that I wouldn't do. To be honest, you couldn't pay me $1000 to live in west Jackson.

When I first read the title "Downtown West" I thought it was a mistake. I thought it referred to the central Mississippi hamlet on Highway 51. Here is the real "downtown West".
