I have a job that i applied to and got an interview for, only to realize that sans car, this would be impossible. (4 buses, 2 hours kind of impossible) It is only 11 minutes by car at a normal speed. That is how horrible certain transit areas are. (south side) I don't drive and haven't for quite some time. This person must be a safe/alert driver and doesn't talk on their cell phone when i'm in the car. I'm a continuing student and looking for a normal (quirky, interesting, nice, just not crazy) FEMALE to carpool with to Hodges blvd. My place is pretty much a straight shot from Butler to Hodges. I am willing to pay REASONABLE gas money. I live by UNF. All the jobs i can get are unfortunately always outside of the transit line! So, who's interested? Maybe meet up for coffee to make sure we aren't weirded out by each other.

Good luck with that. A bike might be your best option until you make friends at work. and pay for a taxi on the rainy days. No "normal" person will reply on the internet to do this for you.

I think you would have better luck at craigslist or posting some signs at UNF than at this website for what you are looking for. Jacksonville is not a no car friendly city.

Yeah, "normal" seems to be lacking on Craigslist. It was a long shot, but when your options are limited you do what you have to. Unfortunately, the responses were not what i was looking for. How do I delete this post?
