You'll save money on snow removal, plus you won't have to buy snow tires, snow boots or a snow blower. But seriously though, I think it's impossible to factor in everything, because you'd have to take into account the cost of your winters vs our summers (heating your house vs cooling our homes, watering our grass more from summer heat, cost of extracurricular activities, etc.) I think the 2 main things you should compare are:

1) Salaries - you didn't mention if you're working, but the difference in salaries

2) House prices - if you sold your home and purchased the same quality home in Jax in a similar community, would it cost more, less, or would you break even. Because this would factor in when calculating your property taxes and homeowners insurance. For example, if you sold your home in Ohio for $200k and it only takes $150k to get the same quality home in Jax, your mortgage would be $50k less meaning that you'd be saving interest on the $50k, plus your property taxes are on a $150k home. On the flip side, if it costs more for the same quality house, your mortgage will be more, etc.
