Shows that it can happen at any school. Sad, sad, sad.

Apparently this incident involved no student's but a fired teacher who returned to the school and shot another teacher in a murder/suicide.

How sad, and what a particularly stupid place to do something like that. Not that there's a good place, but at a school. Jeez. No compassion at all for the effect of this action on young students.

Firing someone today in this environment must be a very delicate exercise. Of course we don't have all the facts.

This is so extremely sad. There is something seriously wrong with our society.

Not society, something wrong with the person(s) who did this.

I am a graduate from EHS and knew Dale Regan - an amazing lady and such a sad tragedy! My neice has a friend that goes there and apparently it was a Spanish teacher fired earlier in the day. It was a sudden firing and he had to be escorted from the classroom because he refused to leave. My neice's friend was in class just prior to the shooting and the shooter walked by her classroom (which had the door open), carrying his guitar case, and looked into the class, smiled and waved at the kids inside. Moments later, they heard the gunshots. Again, I am in shock and just can't believe the current world we live in. This man has forever changed so many lives - my neice's friend will never be able to get the imagine of him smiling, waving, and carrying a guitar case, out of her head. Obviously he was mentally unstable. What a shame that he did not seek help - at least he did not take out his anger on the children, but that is little consolation to the Regan family. So, so sad!

Most high profile school shootings happen in schools the average person wouldn't think.

Like the one in the midwest last week. Or Columbine. Or Virginia Tech. Etc.
