Hello! I'm currently in the last stages of helping a close friend plan her Jacksonville wedding, and I'm responsible for coordinating a dinner for the bridal party on the night that everyone arrives into town. None of the bridesmaids or groomsmen really know each other, so I was thinking something interactive (hibachi at a Japanese steakhouse, perhaps?) might be good to help everyone loosen up. Since I'm not in the area, though, it's hard to scout out potential places.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Preferably near Jax Beach - that's where we'll be staying, and we're hoping not to drive too far. Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I've never been, and it's not really near the beach, but I've heard it's very interesting.

IMO ... Joes Crab Shack at Jax Beach is definitely a fun, interactive restaurant for large groups?

^ Those are not interactive restaurants. Which, by the way, is extremely limiting.

Here are "interactive" restauarnts aka hibachi near the Beach:
Tokyo Steak House
Daruma Japanese Steakhouse | Teppanyaki Menu

Personally, I'd go for fun/cool/unique rather than fun/generically "interactive". But, hey. Some people like generic.

^^ True - I shouldn't limit myself to simply interactive. Fun/cool/unique suggestions also very much recommended! Only requirement is that they can accommodate a group of 14!

I recommend Maggiano's (Town Center) for a large group like yours. It's a chain restaurant - but the food is ok. It's interactive only in the sense that ordering/serving/eating for large groups is "family style". We've used it a couple of times when lots of family came into town - and didn't have any problems.
