Going along with my other post looking for Korean Markets. How about Korean Restaurants? What are your favorites? And what are their specialties?

In Jacksonville there really aren't a lot of choices. There is one decent one called Sam Won Garden on University Blvd just south of Beach Blvd. There's Hon Korean which is nearby on Beach Blvd, next to the Korean Market called World Food Mart. Then there are a few Japanese/Korean places, like Koja Sushi in the Landing.

I guess my favorite would be Sam Won but it wouldn't stand out at all in another city. The best place to eat Korean is actually inside World Food Mart, but they only serve during lunchtime.

As far as St Aug, I do not know. You'll have to go up to Atlanta to get EXCELLENT Korean food.

I think projectmaximus summed up nicely.

Hon Korean is owned by a nice couple (wife cooks and husband serves), but the place is small and the menu is limited. We usually go to Sam Won Garden, and they are okay. We haven't tried the place inside World Food Mart yet.

There are no Korean restaurants in St. Augustine. Gainesville has a Korean restaurant (Garlic & Ginger), and a Korean market called Oriental food & gift market. Probably not worth driving all the way there for these two places, but check them out if you happen to visit Gainesville.
