We are planning a move from St. Louis Missouri to Hastings in or around August. This will be my first time moving out of state. Can anyone from this area tell me a little about it? Pros and Cons? Friendliness? Price of things? Traffic? Anything you can tell me. I love dogs and am a trainer by profession. My fiance is a cook. Anyone know how these jobs are? Any tips on moving out of state?

Yeah but that's not necessarily a deterrent as long as there's bigger towns relatively close. I grew up in BFE in Illinois, so it would feel just like home.

Trip Advisor shows two restaurants in Hastings, and one of them is the Subway. I think your fiance might have to drive to St. Aug or Palatka for work.
