At least Robyn is never nasty in her posts, unlike two or three of you who make a sport of tormenting her in this forum.

No, not the case. What we DO is point out when she is being condescending and snobbish.

Laid back and beachy is more Neptune or Jax Beach or Villano Beach.

Mid-to-upper-range social climbers is mostly PVB.

That said, there are plenty of super nice people that choose PVB for schools and location.

Not to derail yet again but I'm excited for the Jags. What a draft! (on paper that is).

Our family (plus in-laws) is split between NY Giants and Philadelphia Eagles but we all decided to find common ground and root for the Jags this year in addition to our own teams. May even go to a few games. A good friend of mine is an executive for the Jags and he showed me around the stadium few weeks ago. The upgrades they're completing are fantastic. Shad Khan is dumping a ton of money into the place and good for him for doing so.

I agree that this thread has gotten so far off topic that it's sad! It looks like three posters have decided to make it there mission to attack others. You might try doing a search on "Ponte Vedra lifestyle" and see what that brings up.

I live in Atlantic Beach but belong to TPC which is in PVB. We spend a lot of time there and find the members to very friendly and laid back. I will say that most everyone dresses very nicely and drive very nice cars; don't see many trucks. You might try explaining what a "mid range social climber" is.

I agree with murfslaw. What is "laid back"? What is "mid range social climber"? What are you looking for? What are you afraid of finding?

As for beachy - this is not Margaritaville. Many of the people I know - especially the older ones - are golfers. Although we see lots of young often extremely talented middle and high school and college golf kids - many of whom have parents who live here and play golf here - at the TPC. Many of the younger people I know (not my friends - just neighbors or acquaintances - I'm older than their parents) are upper middle class professionals with families. Who are working hard and raising their families. They're *very* busy people IMO. Some do spend a lot of money (some don't). Because they have the money to spend. Robyn
