Is this good, bad or both?

Traffic is definitely on the increase as well as accidents. Higher salaries are contributing to the growth? Just what is the big/major draw to Jacksonville?

Just read online that people visiting here (RV City) for the FL- Georgia game, say there's not enough entertainment around "RV City".

What's your take on this Thread?

People visiting Jax are right. There's not enough entertainment around the "Bold New City of the South".

I hope this gets addressed with the new amphitheater being built. We need to have someplace for those coming to the venue to eat and drink before and after the shows.

Well, no matter what entertainment enterprises they bring here, when my wife retires in a year or so, we are moving back to Colorado (northeastern part).

You don't like people who decide the city they thought the'd like, isn't the city they really want to stay living in?
JAX is a nice city, just not made for everyone.
Thing is, will JAX ever have the entertainment that so many want?

Did I say I didn't like people who decide the city they thought they'd like, isn't the city they really want to stay living in?

I escaped the laughably nicknamed J-Actionville myself some years ago.

Leaving the River City was the smartest thing I ever did. It's truly the Worst Coast.

Sorry, I took you wrong at what you said.

JAX is growing pretty rapidly and will be hitting that 1,000,000 population fairly soon. I've never lived in a population that high, but, for the most part, job salaries here are very good. Seems that job salaries is a big "pull" for people coming here.

Salaries are pretty good in JAX compared to some places. Others, not so much.

Average salaries for jobs in Jacksonville, FL are 7% lower than average salaries for jobs nationwide.

I really wonder what a lot of the salaries are for some of the folks who live around/shop at the St. John's Town Center?

I also wonder how many people are transferred here, from a job in another State, who would have never/ever thought about moving here? Being transferred is better than being put into the unemployment line, but.
