What's your take on this area? Can you tell me about good neighborhoods with high walkability? Places to avoid? Lots of retirees or not so many?

Thanks!

Not a big fan of Orange Park, every time I go into that area, it seems like there is traffic everywhere. Also, the schools are not highly rated.

Hi there, I think its a great area, I live just inside Duval, really close to Orange Park. There, like most other areas in Florida is quite a bit of expansion (which is what SharkToothHunter was mentioning) however Jacksonville has lots of room for growth. I'd imagine much like Tennessee (where I believe you're from). A few of the nicer areas are Oakleaf Plantation, and Pine Ridge (if you want to go further west). What's your price range and what sort of house are you looking for?

I'm not a fan. There are much better choices if you want to move to the area, even in the same budget.

Orange Park is ok. It's close to West Jacksonville, so sometimes you may get spillover crime in OP from West Jacksonville criminals.

What do you like and want from a neighborhood? If you like vanilla, HOA subdivisions there are plenty. If you prefer urban living, then you have San Marco, Riverside/Avondale and Springfield. real questin is where are you going to work becasue traffic can be brutal

I live just over the Duval County line in Clay County. Near Oak Leaf. It's a nice area - suburban and family friendly. It is not a walkable community.
