[ ] It is against the law for a gay person to adopt a child in Florida.

[ ] Gay citizens are no longer provided the legal protections and benefits of civil unions or domestic partnerships.

[ ] An employer who provides health benefits to couples in a domestic partnership or civil union is open to lawsuits for providing such benefits.

Why would any GLBTC community members want to move or remain here? At first it wasn't so bad, but a GLBTC person is truely a second class citizen in every sense of the word.

I thought Florida was a fairly liberal state ? At least in comparison to other southern states ?

Only liberal in the sense that we get to drink from the same fountains, and share the same roads every now and then.

And that's a problem. Do we really want Florida to be known as a gay-unfriendly state? Tourism is a major industry for our state, do we want to appear unfriendly? Uncool?

What's to become of Key West? Miami?

I voted no on 2, i don't care what religion has to do with gays getting a legal partnership. As for employment you can always work at Disney, I knew a couple of friends that work there in college its the gayest(happiest) place on earth

I thought we already were. IMO, it only got worse for them.

Gradco is right, 2nd class. This is not fair, I cannot believe that we let this happen. Just because this against YOUR religion, does not mean you can dictate some one else's life.

The SE portion of the state is. The rest, not so much.

Useless thread. The votes were casts and counted. FL is anti-gay. Too bad for FL, gays spend a great amount of money traveling, and for sure I will not be wasting my vacation money where I am not welcome. There goes FL's only industry.
