It's now "X102.9" playing alternative rock. "The Point" is no more.

Everything I find on this station (without being able to listen as I am at work), says they play 80's hits. I am guessing that is what "The Point" used to be. I will have to check it out on the way home.

I've been listening to 102.9 since yesterday when I first heard of the change from '80s to alternative.

Nice. We needed another good rock station. Sometimes Planet Radio plays the same stuff over and over and.... I'll have to check it out

That's not good at all! The point was the only good 80's-90's station around. There's more than enough new rock stations, including 97.9, 95.1, 104.5, 107.3...
man, this station was at the top of my pre-sets in the car. Guess it'll be 104.5 now...

97.9 & 95.1 are Top 40 stations, 104.5 is Classic Rock & 103.7 is early 90's, supposed to be recent rock. We lack a good rock station. You will be fine, the 80's were not that great for music anyway

Anyone else miss Cool 96.9? We don't have an "oldies" station anymore. That's why I had to get satellite radio.
