Hi All:

I've heard there is a Sears Scratch and Dent Store in Jax--anyone know where it is --is it the outlet on San Jose?

Has anyone had good or bad experiences purchasing from there?

I've heard some people say their products are more than scratched or dented and are actually refurbished and others say absolutely not--just cosmetic issues.

Any thoughts?

Yes, the Sears Outlet is at the intersection of San Jose Blvd and Claire Lane, southeast corner.

The products in the store are marked according to their status. If they're new but damaged, they are marked as such. If used, then it's marked as used. If it's discontinued, it's marked as such. I've purchased a few appliances from there, and have never had any issues with them. Just be sure to know what you're buying. I believe you can also purchase extended warranties, etc., if you feel so inclined.

Saw the same lawnmower at the "regular" Sears for 50 dollars less than the outlet on San Jose. Just be sure to do your research!

Our buying agent actually pointed that out to us when I was on my scouting trip.

I've bought from the Sears Outlet on San Jose and it worked out great. The appliances are new but cosmetically imperfect.

There is also a Sears Service/Outlet on St. John's Buff, south of Beach Blvd, north of Saint Johns Town Center. This is a good spot to check out mowers and other lawn stuff. At this location, things might be refurbished.
