What is the area like around zip code 32207?
I am looking for a 2 bedroom+ condo/townhome, house and have no idea about the area. I need to be close to 32256 zip code for work.

32256 is generally a better area than 32207, which can be spotty. What is the street name where you are looking and I might could tell you more? Utilize http://www.coj.net/Departments/Sheri...Statistics.htm
which will provide you with current reported crime stats.

32207 is one of the hottest zips in town. It covers San Marco & Granada as well as the more humble but still nice Miramar, Ridgewood & the northern part of Lakewood.

These are some of the older, established neighborhoods in Jax along the river, just south of Downtown. You can find everything from little brick bungalows to mansions in the $20mil range...most of it is very upscale.

It's generally an expensive area, so it can be easy to get priced out of it.

There are some new condos being built right now that are up near the "Southbank" area - if I didn't have dogs who needed a yard, I'd love to live in one of these.

This is a safe area, despite the "stats". I'd stay away from anything that connected directly to St. Augustine Road, but once you get a few blocks west of that, it is fine - really and truly. I lived in 32207 for many years and still have ties to that area.
