Received an email to an app I put in and that's about all it said.
It didn't say anything like "We'd like to interview you" or "It looks like you might be good match." Nothing personal about it at all.
I don't really understand why they wouldn't have just called me, it seems fishy.
Not the most promising response, but what do you have to lose by calling? Presumably you want to work at this company and you checked them out before applying, so the possibility that it is a scam should be low.
Well looking back over the reqs, it looks like I'm missing a key component so I don't think they really read my resume. I didn't really think it was a scam per se just probably a weird pre-screen process. Left message with them, we'll see.
Sounds "phishy" to me. So they get you to call and start asking you personal questions that they may be able to use for nefarious purposes. Or, this is one of those places that ask you to pay money to take their training classes to work for them.
bs13690 I'm with you on the possibility but this is a big global company so unless somehow their site was compromised. Their app was very tedious and I could probably get excluded because I didn't fill out every single job I've ever had but like I said above, I don't think they read it.
scammers can pose as big companies too. I guess you don't have much to lose by calling--just keep your wits about you and don't give out personal details that aren't already on your resume.
sounds like one of those mlm type of companies that want you to 'build your downline' of financial consultants or insurance salesmen.
