Jealous? Annoyed?

I just don't get how those two emotions were what the OP offered as choices.

OP, why did you think we'd be jealous or annoyed?

Any feelings at all?

What if you find out the person has a VERY good paying full time job and a decent part time job.

What if this person is over 60 years old?

I'm curious at other people's reactions/thoughts.

I always say they are trying to maintain a certain lifestyle like my Aunt who has two jobs.

I gathered what she meant by the comment in parentheses, viz:

Thanks. Good catch. I must have missed that.

It never occurred to me. Even during tough times, I've never been jealous or upset by what other people have. It's just not my nature.

I was just wondering how you guys felt.

I've had a job and a half myself but I was much younger and times were much better. I was saving up for grad. school at the time so I need to sack away as much as I could.

I've hear people say "Well, someone who needs a job could use that part time one" but good for people who are go getters or have connections to have 2 jobs in these times.

I would be wondering how they got the part time job. I don't see it happening right now, because most places seem to want someone to be available to work at any time if necessary.

I don't understand the attitude that old people should just give up and die and quit working 'to make room' for young people. You are not entitled to a job. You EARN a job. If someone does a good job and wants to work (and can), that's their business.

People are so whiny and entitled. We should be proud of our older population for working hard.

"Or do you feel jealous and or annoyed? (as in maybe someone else could use that second job?)"

What exactly does that mean? I don't work two jobs because I don't have enought to do with my life. I work two jobs because I could "use" two jobs.

This is my thought as well. I wouldn't be jealous of them but I would admire them for their work ethic.

I have worked at my FT job now for 11 years. A few years back I had to take a seasonal job to pay off some credit card debt.

People have reasons working two jobs. Is it anyone else's business? Nope.
