Ok earlier I made a post about a virtual interview. I took an assessment and then I was given a list of questions that would be asked. I was a given a phone # and pin. When I called in, they asked the questions and my answers were recorded.

Well about an hour later, the recruiter called me and asked for a face to face interview. Next week!! During the phone interview, I mentioned that I was planning on moving there by the end of the month.

This is a great job with excellent pay.(I know Id never find a job like this where Im currently living with this kind of pay) I do not want to miss out on this great opportunity but with me moving in a few weeks it doesnt give me much time or money to go for an interview. I cant afford to miss any time here at my current job since I am saving up for my move. Plane tickets would be too much in such short time. And my car's tires wont survive a long road trip.(already took a trip down there 2 mths ago).

What can I tell the recruiter? I called and left a message to call me back in regards to setting something up.

Please any advice would be appreciated. I have been applying at various jobs for months and this one finally came up.

Let's just relax and think about this.
It may be a great job with excellent pay from where you are looking, but when looking at it objectively does that still hold true? Without to give it away, can you at least indicate in what industry this job is and what you consider to be excellent pay?

As a general rule there are dozens, often hundreds, of applicants for any given job. Most of them are not qualified, but that still leaves a large number of highly qualified applicants.

Most companies which aren't fly-by-night operations will agree to a video conference interview via Jabber or Skype in lieu of an actual face-to-face. In your situation it's important to *not* point out that you can't afford the travel for a face-to-face. I would simply ask the recruiter whether an interview via video conferencing is an option.

If they insist on a face-to-face at their location then you will need to weigh the cost of the interview against the possibility that you will not get the job.

It's for an insurance company. The pay is pretty good only because I am bilingual. I didnt plan on mentioning that I cant afford a trip but I am still worried that this will be missed opportunity. I have been looking for work in this city since July

If it's a national insurance company then I'd be surprised if they don't do video interviews.

Can you do a video conference interview? Do you have the equipment and a stable Internet connection? By equipment I mean something other than a smartphone, a laptop, tablet, computer?

I would contact the recruiter and say that you are very excited about this opportunity and would love to set up a time for a video conference interview. If s/he insists on a face-to-face at their location then you will need to take a day off work and make your way down there. Find out whether they have a local office in your current city. Perhaps you can do there and use their video conferencing facility for the interview.

If this job means so much to you then you will do whatever is necessary (short of felonies) to be there for the interview.

Some advice though; don't borrow money from friends or family. That will really sour the relationship. Ask if they can help you, just straight up help, not a loan. That way there's no bad blood over when and how to pay it back. Real friends will come together and help. At some point you will return the favor.

Stay away from Payday loan places, they are the worst place to get money.

No I have had issues with Pay Day Loan places calling me because a close friend of mine gets a few a month! Def avoiding those. I called and left a message for the woman who sent me the email about the face to face interview. Hopefully I can set something up.. and I only have a smartphone/tablet and laptop. Nothing fancy for a video conference. Hopefully skype works for them!

You could be fine. I'd also reply to the email. Odds are the person checks email after business hours but will not check voicemail till Monday.
