Hey everybody. I recently interviewed for a great position at a hospital. It is a days full time position which is amazing. The interview seemed to go well. I originally applied for a different position but when they called me they told me it had been filled, so offered me an interview for a different shift and position, and I went ahead and interviewed. This job was not officially posted on the hospital site. A week after the interview the manager who interviewed me e-mailed me and asked me to officially apply for the position if Im still interested. I applied for it, how should I follow up? Should I email her back to let her know? If so what should I say without sounding like a pest? Thank you. I really want this job. I dont know where I stand in the process right now

If I were you,
I would email back asking if they maybe forgot about your application or something.

Or just ask if they received the application.

That's what I'd do.

So you're saying that after the interview, you were called and told to officially reply and you don't know how to respond to the person who told you to apply?

I would email back and say something like
"Thank you for alerting me about the job posting. I'm very excited at the prospect of working here, so I applied for the position."

It's not being a pest to reply to a prospective employer who contacted you and asked you to apply "if you're still interested."

You should have replied immediately to say you are definitely interested, appreciate the opportunity to interview, have completed the formal application, and look forward to speaking with her again soon.
