Hi all,
I just posted a similar request in the Renting forum, but it applies to finding a new job as well.
The question is: What resources have you used to measure commute times before considering a new job? Especially when having to travel to a new area of the city, it's difficult to predict how bad traffic can get.
The situation might be: I am looking for a new job, but companies are spread around the city. One of my biggest concerns is commute time between work and home. I know these times can be highly variable, depending on time of day, day of week, the alignment of the stars, etc
For example, created a mockup that might make things more clear:

What research have you yourselves done? What did you use? Were you satisfied with the results?
I’ve searched myself, but I can’t find anything that allows me measure commute time between two points over a period of time.
Thanks!
P.S. I joined City-Data yesterday, so my link won't show up yet. You'll have to copy and paste.
