I'm 59, male and live in Central PA. I've been looking for full-time work for 5 months and no luck. I've had sales, management and retail experience. I don't include my date of graduation and only include work experience for the past 13-15 years.

Very frustrating.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you have better experiences soon.

I've been looking for 11 weeks with 8 in person interviews and some phone interviews. Nothing solid as of yet. 5 of the interviews in Erie, 2 in Buffalo and one in Cleveland.

I'm 48 years old, in Erie PA, and my industry is manufacturing. I'm looking for both manufacturing operations management (7 years exp) and HR management (10 years exp) roles. The majority of the interviews I've had have been for HR roles.

I have a BBA & MBA and other assorted certifications.

Hopefully something will break soon If not, I guess I will expand the search out a bit to Pittsburgh and Detroit.

I am 58. Live in the Milwaukee, WI area. It took me 15 months to land a job (at half my previous salary). I have over 10 years of management experience (managed a team of 25 remote employees in 11 states), and I also have 5 years of experience as a marketing manager. BS in Chemistry and an MBA.

I just accepted a new position last week after a 10 month search. I am a 47 year old woman, an attorney. I will be moving from FLorid to MAssachusetts for the new job. That is a little misleading though. I was really focused on a particular position for a number of months and didn't really kick it in to full gear until April, which was 3 months ago. Then the position I ended up taking moved way more quickly than usually happens in my line of work. I know others that have been looking longer but who are more contrained geographically.

That's a pretty big geographic change, but Massachusetts has a lot going for it I think that you will enjoy your new location since you are close to a lot of other larger cities and attractions in New England. Congratulations on getting the role that you wanted and good luck
