Classic case of a poor job description which will attract unqualified applicants. I mean no offense personally but this type of description is way too commonplace.

#1 - Why does a part-timer "own" anything? Who would they report into?

#2 - Digital "Marketing" is NOT just primarily Web design/Content creation. That would be a Digital MEDIA or Digital Content Strategist or Digital Designer. Digital marketing involves management of PAID/Performance advertising platforms. Too many employers fail to make this important distinction which wastes both parties time. You will not find someone who knows both, and is good at either simultaneously.

#3 - "Client growth systems" = ????
You've either got CRM/Demand or Lead Generation or some sort of B2B D2C setup. But the way it's currently phrased can mean 5-7 different things all of which have differing experts.

#4 - Last but not least - "Day to Day operations" = ???
Does it involve maintaining a dashboard in Google analytics or managing scheduled testing in Magneto? Again this could literally be ANYTHING.

Experienced candidates see this from 250 miles away and will NOT apply...You'll get nothing but recent grads with no experience that can't move the needle. If you just need a warm body, this description is fine. If you want a "rockstar" (that's the one thing done right is keeping those silly buzzwords out) you'll need to consult someone who can actually PROPERLY ARTICULATE your business need (or that of your client) to get the right candidate.

You want someone to do all that as a part-timer? Why would someone with real experience doing that as a full-time job want to do this part-time? This is really limiting the availability of good candidates by making this a part-time position.

See my other thread on Part Time moonlighting in my industry. This is a classic example of the nonsense that is out there right now.
