I lost my cell phone but I do have a Tracfone but the minutes ran out I have no funds to replenish. Is it ok to place my email on my resume for employers to reach me?

It's OK, in fact everyone includes it now, but without a phone you risk some potential employers not contacting you, or perhaps emailing you to get a phone number.

I am a hiring manager, and our HR people do the invitations to interviews by phone only, the same for job offers.

I would suggest trying to somehow earn or borrow money to replenish your time on the Trac.

We will try to contact you by your listed phone number first, then by email.

Everyone has their "preferred" way to contact others.

Most will have both phone and email on their resumes. Are you looking to remove your phone number for now? Since that line is still active, you can still get voicemails, no? Are you checking to see if you have messages?

Here's the thing - sure - it's absolutely okay as many prefer email. However, many also prefer calling as well. So by removing a contact method - you may be losing out on potential opportunities.

I would try to get that refilled. Most of the time, employers will call.

In 2022, most larger employers would contact you through email first to arrange a time for a phone screening or interview with the hiring manager. If you can't afford a phone number right now, you can get one for free from Google Voice. It will send you email when you have a message and then you can find a phone to call them back. You could even use your computer to make the phone call back on Google Voice.

Call the potential employer and ask this.
