To many it may seem to be a mistake that a Muslim was selected to be the Mod for the Judaism Forum. I was a bit skeptical myself when I was first asked to take the position. But after carefully consideration I saw the logic behind it and the reason the assigned mods for the Islamic forum are not Muslims.
1. It removes the responsibility of a member of the same faith having to make judgement calls about a Brother/Sister in faith.
2. It prevents decisions from being made on the basis of sectarian issues.
3. It lessens the likelihood of favoritism
My primary concerns will not be about Judaism but adherence to the TOS. I will only be reading threads for assurance the TOS is followed. My main concern is to assure no member uses any personal insults towards another member in a reply. Address the Topic and not the poster. I do have zero tolerance over any member insulting another.
I will rely heavily on members using the report button to make me aware of any issues. I am not going to be reading every thread and most likely will only check my emails for reported posts 2 or 3 times daily. This is your forum, not mine. I am only here to assure the TOS is followed. I hope you all make it be what you desire it to be without outside influences.
