I am not particularly religious but I saw a particularly meritorious quote, from some European 17th Century rabbi, in tonight's prayer book:
"As long as the candle is burning, it is still possible to mend. As long as the candle burns- as long as the spark of life still shineswe can mend and heal, seek forgiveness and reconciliation, begin again." Now that society is (almost) open, hopefully we're on to a better, more promising and more enjoyable year.
Thanks. Is the correct greeting "G'Mar Hatima Tova"?
Yes! In Israel everyone says "G'mar Hatima Tova" at this time. I have heard some Americans shorten it down to "hatima tova".
