Has anyone signed up for the new Google broadband internet and television coverage? I wondered how good it is.

Are you talking about Google Fiber?

My understanding is that neighborhoods are still qualifying. I'm not sure that it's up and running anywhere, yet. I am told it won't come to my neighborhood (one of the densest) until maybe early 2013. I could be wrong, it's not really my area of interest or expertise.

Yes I guess it is Google fiber. I read it was being tried in KC first and that it was happening now, but maybe it isn't everywhere there yet.

You can sign up yet, but no one actually has it yet. Some Kansas City, KS neighborhoods will have it by the end of the year however.

Hannover Heights sign ups for installation closed yesterday (I think). They should be getting the service shortly as they build out the fiber to each household.

You can check out the plans/services here...
https://fiber.google.com/about/

The rollout starts in KCK later this year and KCMO will start in spring but most areas wont be complete til next fall.
