No parks or houses or churches. I am looking for an inexpensive place to have my wedding, I would like my ceremony and reception in the same place. INDOOR for both but if there was a deck area or something that we could move to for cocktail hour that would be WONDERFUL. I live in Oklahoma but we are getting married in KC or near there because thats where our family is so it would really help if I could check out the place online. THANKS

Wedding venues Kansas City, MO

I would just start calling around. There are lots of great places in the city that will add ambiance and character to the event (downtown rooftops, historic structures etc) rather than just being in some building. I'm sure you can find one cheap enough.

Not sure of your definition of inexpensive, or what your projected number of guests is, but sending you a direct message. I just had my wedding in the KC area (also coming in from out of town, since we are military and stationed out of state), and the venue we used for our reception (they also do ceremonies, but we had another ceremony site that was special to us) might fit the bill, depending on what you are thinking of spending and how many people.

There (used to be ) is nice place near in the Westport/ Plaza area . I don't recall the name of it but it is a Spanish style venue. Its closer to Westport and its almost a short walk to the coffee shop from what I remember.

I have no idea what any cost, but I attended a wedding and reception at the Boulevard Brewery, which has a terrace with a downtown view. I've seen wedding parties coming out of Californos in Westport.

I went to a reception at the Mahaffie Farmstead in Olathe, which was a surprisingly good venue; just the ideal space for your average wedding with 100-150 guests.

I highly recommend here. We used them for our daughters wedding and reception. They were most helpful and have indoor and outdoor options. You can bring in your own food and alcohol. Only had to pay for security if we did have alcohol (which we did). The folks here were awesome to work with, the pictures turned out GREAT!

Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm

Best of luck!
