Job offer in Concordia or around the area. We are considering Blue Springs and Lee Summitt. Does anybody have any information about programs for adults with disabilities.(Day programs)
How is the commute on most days for such a drive? Thanks so much for any help you can provide.

I can’t help you with the disability programs, but I’d probably pick Blue Springs over LS just for the ease of being right on I-70. Depending where you would live in LS it can be a bit of a challenge to get to I-70 during commuting hours. Blue Springs is about the edge of heavy city traffic on I-70, you shouldn’t have problems other than the usual I-70 truck traffic, the occasional accident/snowstorm, and the irritation of driving into the sun both ways.

You might also look at Grain Valley or Oak Grove just to shave a few miles off your commute.

Are you looking for something comparable to OCCK in the KCMO metro area? profit. OCCK in central Kansas might be hard to beat. Especially if its state run.

OCCK looks wonderful and I am truly open to most programs that offer day services that have are good programs. I know they are sometimes more difficult to find virtually so I was hopeful for word of mouth. If you are willing to name a few I will look them up.

Based on my personal experience with OCCK I would look into something private not for profit instead of a state run service . Something like CDD in Missouri.
