Hello,

I am moving to Missouri come the end of January 2009. My fiancee is moving there with me, we have been engaged for 4 1/2 years, and just want to get married really quick, and cheap, so we chose eloping. Now, I have been searching everywhere... I have found out and arranged everything... But I cannot find someone to actually do the ceremony. I am looking for it to be just quick, easy, no long drwn out processes, and something where the person just comes to our house and marries us. Just a JP or something. I have been searching and searching, and all that I can come up with is elopement packages, and that isn't what we want. We just want a ceremony. I don't see any point in paying (what was the cheapest) $494.00 for a five to ten minute thing.

Please, any information and deals you may know of would be very helpful.

Confused in Maine,
Heather

Why not just go to the county and do it? Do you need to have a "ceremony"?

You might try the Unity Church. There is the Unity Temple on the Plaza and Unity Village in Lee's Summit (if you said where you are located, I didn't catch it) but Unity Village is where the school is, so there are many ministers and student ministers and they do all kinds of different weddings. I'm sure they would be able to help you out.
