The southwest would fit the bill in your case. One of the reasons I moved much further north was I still found KC summers too hot for my liking.

If you believe the Farmers Almanac it could be a little cooler than average for your particular area. Take that prediction for a grain of salt at this point.

Temperatures have warmed much faster at higher latitudes. You can not say "global warming" when one particular summer is cooler than average because every weather pattern produces differing results dependent on location in terms of temperatures recorded.

As far as my husband and I are concerned RAIN is now the four-letter R word. We do construction and it set us behind terribly, flooded our pasture, made us cut hay late, well you get the picture.

That being said, I love Kansas, and would never leave it, or change one thing about it! Honestly! Living here is the best and builds character.

My wife was saying the other day how "they" say it's going to be a bad winter. I asked her HTH she knows that and who are "they".

Then she said,"The farmers almanac said...."

And after that I stopped listening.

I think the Farmer's Almanac is more accurate than all of those "they's".

Move to Phoenix, then you will have summer 3/4 of the year and a mix of spring/fall for the remainder. I am a OTR truck driver, and that has been my expierence. However 108 degree temp in the summer is not fun.
