we am thinking about using a pods container when we renovate our old house so our things are still accessible to us. Has anyone used them? can you tell me if they are as easy as I have heard? I went to their website and it sounds like a good idea. thnx! Candy

U-Haul dealers offer a deal similar to P.O.D.S. I used a U-Haul container in a recent move across town. It made it a lot easier since it allowed me to pack stuff up over a two week period and then just hire help to load and unload in three hours. I figure it saved me a few hundred dollars over hiring professionals for the complete move.

Friends who tore down their house and built another on the same site used them for about 8 months with no problems.

My only concern with your situation is if you live in a subdivision the HOA might not like it parked there that long.

^ that is what I was going to say...make sure it will fly with an HOA..might check with the city/county also to be safe

They are a great idea, know people who used them in other cities
good luck

Had friends recently use them. The driver apparently was very good at fitting it on the driveway where they wanted it. They said it was by far the cheapest way to move and less hassle.
