My thoughts exactly...someone has to be reelecting these morons....I guess they are elected...who knows these days.

The people/corporations with the money (and therefore the power) make sure the ones elected will look after their interests first and foremost. Democrat and Republican, both sides are so corrupt there's no telling who's working for who anymore. If the rich and powerful are benefiting from continued illegal immigration, you can be damn sure there won't be any real policy reform on the issue.
But even at my most cynical, I can't help but hope I'm wrong. Maybe the government will do something good this time around...
Not only should Kentuckians support SB 6, we should also support HB 3 - Damron's E-verify bill. It almost made it into law the past two years...... THAT bill focuses on the EMPLOYERS.......If you're not familiar with E-Verify, google it - it's a free federal program that compares SS# and I-9 info of a potential employee (illegal alien) that an employer puts in the system, to the information that's already on file for every working American. If it doesn't match, you can't hire. And if the employer doesn't comply, big time fines

Thanks for the info HB 3. Hadn't heard of that yet in KY. If anything, E-verify will scare off some illegals to leave the state. I've seen E verify alot around CA but there is simply to many places that will hire illegals no questions asked there. Has it already been passed?
Not sure if E-Verify, HB 3 has passed the House yet (been focusing on SB6) but legislature reconvenes Feb. 1 for a month. See link below to a KET video of the pros/cons of SB 6 and HB 3 that aired on KET's Kentucky Tonight (both bill's sponsors are on the panel, along with a county attorney and an immigration attorney). We NEED E-verify for sure, preferably made mandatory for ALL employers. SB 6 isn't perfect, but with amendments, could be, but it's bottom line is to DISCOURAGE illegals from coming here, and ENCOURAGE them to leave. KET video (you won't be bored)KET Local Video Player
Over a year later and for the record....get rid of ALL illegal immigrants. Law and order requires respect for the law. Illegals may have a problem in their country. But they should stay in it and face the problem and leave our damn country alone. If you wanna be a citizen here, you should go through the proper channels. There are a large number of citizens that can't find work because some farmers are too damn lazy to get a real job and would rather sell out their fellow citizens by contributing to the mess. Next thing you know, more and more of the small farms will get shut down, forcing the government to eliminate immigrants that way. I say to every citizen, if you see a hispanic, call the police and tell them they are here illegally. At least it will get them checked. If everyone set that kind of exmaple, they would think twice before coming here. You can't pour all your water in one spot without killing everything because of it. Too many people piling up in America. It's getting to where it isn't worth living here anymore.
