Really hard to take this list seriously when they rate Birmingham, Baltimore, Memphis, and Oklahoma City as some of the most romantic cities. Violent yes, most romantic?

I think Baltimore is romantic

Baltimore obviously has a bad rep (and for good reason) but it actually does have some charm to it. However, some of the list is definitely questionable. Birmingham is the last place i'd ever consider romantic.

Baltimore has a teen birth rate twice as high as the state of Md and three times as high as the national average, it's also ranked fourth highest in the nation for STD's, with nearby Montgomery county ranked #1 -- not exactly romantic.

I take either Lex or Louisville anyday over Baltimore and would also get rid of Atlantic City and St. Louis and replace them with San Diego, and Honolulu.

Im pretty sure birth rate or STDs have nothing to do with any of the cities rankings or else no city in the world would be romantic.

Oklahoma City? I'll pass. Birmingham? All I can think about is the Civil Rights Movement. Good place for a class trip.

Sure it does, these people skip the foreplay, have unprotected sex, and give the place a bad rap.

Not exactly what I would define as romantic.

True their definition of what's romantic in cities are not what give the cities a bad rap though. They had to get the inspiration from somewhere.

CCL,
Thanks for sharing! Just wish folks would take it for what it was meant to be ... just informational, and subjective. Sometimes people read waaay too much into these things and miss the big picture. PLEASE keep up your postings, I for one enjoy your findings!
