Here in Calloway County, of course everyone knows of the KY 80 fiasco, but there are other projects that have been delayed in this county that are just as important. The list:

Widening of US 641 from Murray to TN state line to four-lane
Widening of 121 N through Murray to four-lane
Bypass around Murray not in near future, although has been proposed

All three projects make me upset that they are not done. The 641 project has been in the works for 20 years. Also, we are the only town around here without a bypass. What projects are on hold in your area?

We have got road constuction everywhere in Bowling Green, but it is taking forever. They are widening Lover's Lane to four lanes and I don't think it will ever be finished. I was hoping they would complete it before bad weather but now I am not sure they will.

Kentuckydad95----------welcome to the real world.

You are not alone as the same is happening in many states.

The economy is not booming, thus states' revenue is down and road construction takes big $$$$$$$$$

Where I live in Minnesota, a new road project makes headlines and we all say--"good, it's about time "
Upon reading it, we learn actual construction might start in 15 years.

None are delayed. A widening project just got completed on I-75 north of London at Exit 49. Now the interstate throughout Laurel County is mostly 6 lanes and it's 8 lanes in the city limits of London.

Now let me see if I am understanding this correctly. You have four-lanes on EACH side of 75? How the hell big is London and do they need that many lanes?

BTW, that KY 80 project is (so far) a huge waste of money. The portions that are open see little traffic.

If you have ever driven I-75 its entire distance across Kentucky, then you know that 20 lanes is sometimes not enough to carry all the traffic from north of the Ohio, including Canada to and from Atlanta, Florida, and so many other access points south of Kentucky.

The same is true for I-65 from Louisville to Nashville. It's amazing the traffic that road handles rather well.

Yes in London it is 4 lanes in both directions. Laurel County's population is right at 60,000. Traffic can be pretty bad at times, so yes we need that many lanes.

We don't even have 8 lanes in Lexington on I 75, I still don't see why London needed them. I'm in London rather frequently and the drive is so much nicer now that most of the way down from Lexington is 6 lanes.
