I grew up on the Virginia border and lived in Wise, VA for a couple of years so S.W. VA is almost like an extended home for me. The people in Virginia are about the same as the people in Kentucky, mostly down to Earth as far as I could tell.

One exception would have to be your state police officers. They're not very nice people...and that's putting it nicely!

I live in Pikeville, Ky, which is not far from the line. We're all neighbors and friends and family as far as I am concerned.

I always figured you guys were just like us - just a state over!

In the south - sorta - just like us - only with the advantage of having the beaches closer.

I WANT A BEACH TOO!!!!!!

I would say friendly neighbors.

I had a brother in law that lived there for many years.

We are ALL children of GOD!

We are suppose to love our neighbors.

I hope you have a blessed day!

Kentucky and Virginia are a lot alike. Lots of rolling hills and horse farms.

And beautiful women.

Default highliner

I've always liked the western parts of Va, but why-oh-why do your state troopers hate truckers so darn much? They're almost as bad now as those in New Joysey- welllll, almost. But, I have always been treated to exemplary professional courtesy by the local law officers in your fine state.
