I work for Air Liquide and I'm being transferred from Louisiana to Ghent, KY. I see that there is nothing there so I don't imagine I'll be looking for a place to live there and I'm not having much luck finding places to rent online anywhere close.

Our plan right now is to just pack up and stay in a hotel until we find a place to rent. Can anyone give me some ideas where to be looking once we get there? I'm looking to be no further out than 30 minutes from Ghent. We're only going to have about a week to find something before I start working.

Thanks in advance

I'll definitely give you a call. It's me, my wife, 10 month old daughter, and another girl due in 2 1/2 months. We prefer 3 bedrooms but can live with 2 for now. no preference on bathrooms.

I"m guessing you'll be working at the huge power plant there?

Ghent is right in the 'dead man's part of I-71 where the is virtually no population growth or larger towns - it is located right btw two of the state's fastest growing and most affluent areas in the NE Louisville suburbs (LaGrange, Pewee Valley) and Boone County. Carrollton is the only town in the vicinity w/ any restaurants at all

It's not a power plant. It's a new plant located inside of a steel mill I believe.

I'm having a hell of a time trying to find places to rent online. I guess we're going to have to drive up there and stay in a hotel while we look around for something.

If anybody knows a way that I can be looking at places online before we get there I'd appreciate some help. I'm hoping to be as close to Ghent as possible (the first place we're going to look is Carrollton) but I'm willing to go as far away as LaGrange.
