I was with some friends last night watching FX and I saw a commercial for that show and told them it looked like Kentucky but everyone else thought it was somewhere in Tennessee or something. Guess I was right haha. Looks like a good show.

How laughable, the people making these shows clearly know nothing about Kentucky. The accent they are using is so fake, the scenes that are representing Lexington are not even Lexington. Lexington is flat, some small hills and doesn't have forests. Duh....I shall not be watching this. Oh and it's FX, a terrible station anyway. What do I expect?

actually it is set in Harlan. on one of the previews it aid that, also referencing a car exploding in somerset. so it semms like it will be set all around south central KY

but yea, the accents do sound fake. but i still like to see KY represented. they're doing the best they can i suppose.

They show a scene in the previews of what looks very much like Lexington, the typical horse farm with a barn, white fence and horses running around. But as another poster said, it is supposed to take place over a broader area of Kentucky, not just Lexington. Does anyone know if they have actually been taping this show in Kentucky or somewhere else?

But I hate to see my state so very misrepresented. The ignorance of the series producers is now transferred as the ignorance of Kentuckians. Thanks but no thanks.

Comical. Misrepresented? Eastern Kentucky is full of the the ignorant and clueless. The truth hurts...painfully.

I wouldn't take it personally. Since when have TV shows or movies actually portrayed something as to how it really is, unless it is based on a true story. They almost always blow things way out of proportion. They just do that so it looks more appealing to an audience. I'm not saying I agree with how they portray Kentucky in this show, but hopefully most people will recognize it is just a TV show and isn't how real life is like for the people of Kentucky. I'm sure we're not the only state whose culture and people are misrepresented through a TV show.
