MY HUSBAND AND I LIVE IN NC. NOW AND HAVE SOME FRIENDS IN ERWIN TN. WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THE MOVE TO THAT AREA WITHIN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS. Erwin is in Unicoi County, 54% of which is government-owned. There is very little farmland or land for sale within reason. We looked last year ... the things within our price range were absolutely terrible.

Unicoi County is also a very small and mountainous county. As of 2002, the county had just 9300 acres of farmland (8% of the county's total land area).
