Found out this morning that someone broke into my Van. What was weird is their point of entry, they left the radar detector and other electronics alone. They took my tools and welding gear out of the back. I guess no welding test for me anytime soon.

Apparently I am not the only one either. The Officer said that 2 blocks over, a guy had his car broken into and they took fishing poles and tackle boxes.

Anyways, its reported. I am doing the usual combing of craigslist and even posted a stolen tools ad in the tools section. Who knows if I will get it back. As a former L.E.O., yea, I know the odds.

Fishing gear? I can't imagine something like that having much resale value. What an odd thing to take.
Hope you get your stuff back.

Thanks. Just putting this out there for others to be mindful of items in cars. It does not matter if the car is locked or not. Mine was locked. Don't know about the other guy.

On the bright side... at least they did not break out any windows. That would have really sucked at this point moneywise... with all I got going on with a Lawyer in Fl. (Probate.. not getting into that) and Christmas Shopping.

It's unfortunate, but not really surprising. People around here will steal anything if it's possible to move it.
