Hello, new to this forum,

We moved here last August after I bought a house here in Bluff City. I am retiring here from Michigan. I was wondering if anyone has heard if there were any plans to build a Menards store here, loved that store.

Not a word that I am aware of. We have Lowes and Home Depot battling it out locally, plus a couple of decent lumber yards. We had a Woodcraft but they shut down due to family issues and the new owner never opened a new store.

I would love a Menards but I don't think their footprint extends much outside the Midwest.

I highly doubt it. I wish we had a Meijer too, but the last one is in KY.

They're building a Menards in West Virginia so there is hope for them coming deeper into the Appalachian market. Love Menards and love Rural King too.

Luckily we have 4 within an hours drive of me 2 in WV, 1 in OH, and 1 in KY. That store, to me at least, is a lifeline.

Meijer and Menards would be awesome for East Tennessee but like said before, we are hours away from their current footprint sadly
