I was wondering if anyone had info they could offer me about the churches in West Knoxville. So far we have been to two and havent found one that was right for our family yet (I'm not saying something was wrong with them, they just didnt feel like a fit for us). I'm Catholic and my hubby is Baptist so we are looking for something in between with lots of children's activities. SO far we have tried Two Rivers and Cokesbury. I really liked Two Rivers but prefer more traditional music than comtemporary. We also went to the South Campus service at Cokesbury and their music was also very comtemporary and the service was quite different than I remember Cokesbury being a few years ago. Does anyone have any recommendations they could suggest? We are kind of looking for something that is somewhat traditional but also relates to everyday life. We live out west so I would like to consider places around that area if possible. I'm a bit shy, so I am hoping to find a place that will let us "wade" in gradually and not be completely overwhelmed, as we our already Christians but we are trying to find something that is a blend for our kids between Catholic and Baptist.

You might try Lutheran - possibly Missouri Synod.

This one is on Cedar Bluff. I know someone that goes there and he is very nice. VisitGrace

Faith Promise on Middlebrook Pike is always recommended to me, though I have not checked it out.

Concord United Methodist has two traditional and two contemporary services each Sunday. They also have a great Youth program.
