I am looking for dentist recommendations in the Knoxville/Maryville/Seymour areas. I am willing to drive for a great dentist that uses the latest technologies. My dentist in Florida uses porcelain fillings, sandblasting cleaning, and computerized X-Rays. I would like to find a dentist that uses the same latest technologies. Of course, I would also like him/her to have a kind and patient manner and one whose dental work looks great. Do you have any recommendations for me? Thank you so much!

I've heard that this place is very good. However, I have not personally been there. I went to one dentist in West Knoxville and he was a nightmare. Haven't gone since, and I dearly need to.

Welcome

That's good to know. They are also part of a business bartering group and I had considered them. I guess this means I have no reason to not make an appointment. sigh.

By the way, anyone looking for a stellar pediatric dentist need go no further than here. Not only are they upscale and state-of-the-art but he has called me at the house twice to check on Lauren.

I live in the Knoxville area, but had to drive to Chattanooga for the best dentist. They actually get a lot of patients from Knoxville. He's a holistic dentist who uses some of the latest technology. Everyone in the practice is very friendly and they take the time to answer all of your questions. Here's the website:

Chattanooga Dentist|Cosmetic Dentistry|Implant Dentistry|Invisalign

This website has a list of other dentists who tend to use the latest methods:

Mercury Free Dentist, no mercury dentists (http://iaomt.com/patients/results.aspx?stateProv=Tennessee - broken link)

Does anyone know a good gentle pediatric dentist that takes TennDent somewhere between Chattanooga and Knoxville. She had a very bad experience when she was very small, so the dentist has to be very good with children. I have a member handbook but that doesn't tell you if they are good or not. If anyone knows some good ones send me the name and I can see if they are in my book. The one that hik posted is not in my book. Thanks for any help.

My dentist uses all of the above. I love the "sandblasting" cleaning. He is a very gentle dentist who listens to his patients. His office is also nicely decorated and very comfortable. His name is Dr. McGowan.
