Does anyone know of any new construction neighborhoods in the Knoxville or Oak Ridge area?

My gosh there are dozens of new neighborhoods springing up around Knoxville. I know of one in Oak Ridge, but there could be more.

Any real estate agent here could give you more specific information.

In Oak Ridge, the biggest project right now is Rarity Ridge, on the far west end of the city. When completed, it will be like a little city unto itself, complete with a town center/downtown area, outdoor mall, marina, etc. It's really worth a drive through if you're in the area. It's nowhere near complete, but what has been built so far looks pretty neat.

There's also new construction along Edgemoor Rd near Centennial Golf Course, as well as a couple new subdivisions going up along Emory Valley Rd between Briarcliff and the lake. I'm sure there are more, but I haven't driven around Oak Ridge since January.

While I haven't been in West Knox for awhile either, I'm sure there is still an abundance of new construction going on there as well.

I posted this back in February 2007 so you may want to do more online research on them now that it's almost September:

New Housing (Oak Ridge)

Crossroads at Wolf Creek (near the Boeing Plant): 112 single family homes, 64 townhouses
Royce Hill Towns and Gardens (Highland View): 52 single level apartments, 20 townhomes
Not Named (land near South Hills Golf Course): 300 homes (Spring construction)
Rarity Oaks (near Oak Ridge Country Club): 550 lots
Rarity Ridge: (in Roane County) 2,500 – 3,000 families, town center, mini water park
Bristol Park Apartments (Emory Valley Rd): 208 units
Centennial Village: (Edgemoor Rd): up to 900 houses, condos, townhomes, luxury apartments

The one I see in the newspaper the most is the Wolf Creek one.
