Inexpensive but not a great area, by any means. It's in the area of Lonsdale, etc.

Have you spoken with the prospective neighbors? I would take their word over someone who berates whole swaths of town. Whole towns even. IMO the immediate neighbors are most important to your quality of life.

Some parts of the area appear to be well kept up and nice. Will you be coming to town to look at places?

BTW, the parts I am thinking of are separated by an industrial park and a hill from most of Lonsdale. That's like telling someone not to live in Sequoyah Hills (richest part of town) because there is a poor neighborhood on the other side of the railroad tracks.

FWIW, there are people who live happy lives and are proud to be from Lonsdale as well.

We'll said, creek. I agree, if you are in a position to speak with locals of the neighborhood, you may surprise yourself. Keep an open mind and I'm sure you'll find your space. Good luck.
