Hello all,
Just wanted to pop in and ask how the area has been doing since the fires in Gatlinburg and the park at the end of last year. Have most of the affected areas bounced back? Is there still much to do to fully recover? I've been thinking about it lately.

I've never been to Gatlinburg nor Pigeon Forge, but I have been to Knoxville and enjoyed my stay there. I hope everyone and their families in the areas surrounding Gatlinburg are doing well and recovered or continuing to recover from the trauma of what happened.

What about all the people who lost their homes? Has the area been rebuilt?

It's being rebuilt as we speak. I am a mechanical engineer, we sent out two projects this week in Gatlinburg.

It will take time. Houses aren't built overnight and they had to get through the winter weather and the removal of all the debris before rebuilding could start. Now will be the rebuilding time. The business/tourist district was saved and there are places available to stay in both Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, so come visit and support the businesses and the local economy.

Hi everyone! I am so glad people are rebuilding in the area. I am so amazed on how everyone seemed to come together and help each other. That is a very special thing to have in a community. I am trying to plan a summer vacation and I can't wait to visit! Stay strong and God Bless everyone!
